IMPACT PROGRAMMING

MENTORING & CHARACTER GUIDANCE PROGRAMS

MISSION//VISION: Impact aims to equip students with character, emotional/mental, and practical life skills to face everyday life through BUILDING great character, FORMING healthy standards, and SERVING their community & families (we desire to serve the whole family). What we offer has been proven to positively impact students' motivation, academic performance, leadership, self-esteem, self-control, and relationship engagement. Through this program, we will additionally focus on each student's emotional, mental, and overall well-being.

What Ages is this Program Designed for?: Elementary - High School Students

HOW WE DO THIS:
Our program is 8 months long. We divide this up by 12-13 wks per school semester (summer programs/camps, 3-7 weeks), where we will provide engaging components that will equip students with mentors (coaches) to instill character development, emotional regulation, and support that help them develop into well-rounded, responsible, and compassionate individuals who can contribute positively to their schools, families, teams, and society as a whole. Our Impact Coaches are nationally background checked and meet with students weekly for 30 minutes to 1 hour in a central location of the school/venue campus (digitally for Impact Digital). Coaches also check in on their students and parents outside the weekly program setting (if the school/parent has consented). We host an award ceremony at the end of the 8 months, providing an Impact completion certificate to students who have participated for 8 weeks or more.  We also give The Impact Character award to students who have grown and developed in the values we taught them over the  8 months.

What we offer?:
  • Impact Rally - Our Impact Rallies are our take on school assemblies/pep rally’s. We aim to teach students the values of conflict resolution, healthy and unhealthy communication, emotional regulation, the importance of mental health, and how to care for themselves and others. Students with the right tools activated in their lives can respond correctly to themselves, others, and the situations presented in front of them.  Impact Rally's are designed to be hosted by The Pack Youth Captain and Coaches.
  • Impact Digital - This format is designed for schools/groups to view our curriculum through videos and activities virtually, with a captain hosting online. A “The Pack Youth Home Base Team” member will visit the campus (if applicable) 3 to 4 times a school year. Impact Sport is designed to be hosted by The Pack Youth Captain and Coaches.
  • Impact Tribe -  Our Tribe Student Support Program is done weekly and can be done in a super (large) or Circle (small) Group format. The super format is often used for a large number of students on a campus that cannot be divided into smaller groups. This format allows students to view our curriculum and participate in large (SUPER) group activities. The Circle format is the best option for students to build community and relationships with their coaches and peers. It allows students to view our curriculum and participate in activities in a smaller group setting. We will divide large groups into smaller (CIRCLES) groups if applicable. Impact Tribe is designed to be hosted by The Pack Youth Captain and Coaches, teacher/admin, school counselor, a sports team coach/staff, or a local leader in the community.
  • Impact Sport- Our Impact Sport Director oversees Impact Sport. This format is best suited for students who want to develop their sports skills and drills, while also benefiting from the mentoring and character development aspects of our Impact Program. This format typically utilizes only a few activities, as it usually runs much shorter due to the sports element that is taking place.  Impact Sport is designed to be hosted by The Pack Youth Captain and Coaches.
  • Impact Live -  Our Creative Content Director oversees Impact Live. This format is best suited for middle & high school students who wish to develop their character, connect with our online presence, and are High Schoolers who are part of our student leadership program. This format typically utilizes only a few online activities, online entertainment, and engagement. It usually runs 30min-1hr monthly. Impact Live is designed to be hosted by The Pack Youth Staff and Coaches.

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE MORE INTENSIVE FOR STUDENTS FACING MORE BEHAVIORAL CHALLENGES, we offer a STUDENT SUPPORT PROGRAM called "TRIBE" that assists students with their behavioral health, where they are taught that behavior impacts, regulate their emotions, initiate healthy conversations & skills, behavioral change, and exercise their thoughts. We will focus on students learning these things through our CALM METHOD (Communication, Attitude, Listening, and Mood), which is built on the idea that students can identify how they are feeling about situations, use healthy skills and behaviors to express themselves, and become the best version of themselves.

Semesterly, The Pack Youth Gatherings, + Experiences hosted by our team and Partnerships. Visit our website or social media for more information.

WHY: We believe that we live in a world that doesn’t need more things to pass the time, but rather, more people who are intentional with the next generation. The Impact program connects students to great potential and mentors, pushing them to grow and recognize their purpose. We believe that character formation is one of the most practical and effective measures we can use to achieve real, lasting change.

CURRICULUM:
We also offer the opportunity to purchase our curriculum, including all necessary supplies, for $1,500/year (equivalent to 8 months' worth).

LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS

Picture
PIONEER STUDENT LEADERSHIP
A team of young people (high schoolers) who have been selected to be pioneers amongst The Pack Youth in many different capacities. This team is a group of young people who receive one-on-one mentorship and are determined to change their world, no matter what comes their way, and whatever decisions they may make (good or bad), to get back up and do whatever it takes to be a healthy example of leadership. Students are also afforded the opportunity to travel and do retreats each year.

BUILD COLLEGE/CAREER INTERNSHIP
Our Interns are enrolled in college, the military, or a job (18-21 years old) or a university. This internship is 9 months long (unless you are asked to attend for the summer or a second year). Interns serve as mentors to at least one student per month, help lead our programming, are part of our creative team, or assist in building partnerships within our neighborhoods. per week; they are also poured into and developed by our staff, who assist them, participate in character leadership formation classes, and provide opportunities for them to travel around the US for conferences, retreats, training, and outreach. The Pack Youth is a smaller 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, so this internship is unpaid. However, students will be given opportunities for compensation for gas, some travel, and occasional stipends.
